I think Wendi Thomas is by far the best local columnist the local fish wrap has hired in years. They haven't had such a smart, sensible and right-thinking person on that page since Michael Ramirez left to join the LA Times following his Pulitzer win. But I have a few problems with this column

Matty D says flying saucer fever grips Iran. God help us if the Mullahs are the frist human contact aliens have with us.

Dems are breaking the law. Liberal hypocricy at its worst.

Happy Easter from the White House.

Our Memphis Grizzlies are about to sell out their first-ever playoff berth. On the playoffs, I hope the refs don't screw us like Jenna Jameson at a bachelor party. One reason why I abandoned the NBA before we got our team was because I didn't think every team got a fair shot. NBA refs are horrible and a young team like ours, which I believe can compete with anybody, usually gets f***ed in the playoffs. With The Logo on board, I hope that doesn't happen. But I remember clealry J Wills first season in the the league with the Kings. They were a very good team and I thought the refs jobbed 'em.

In a reavealing article by Mr. Dry Ribs, Jerry West talks about the biggest disappointments in his life. It's amazing how long humans can carry things with them. This is an athlete talking here, so imagine what life -long hardships war time presidents must endure. Please pray for President Bush and Our Troops.

Media Double Standard:
Where was the furor over Clinton's closed door 9/11 commission testimony? After all, under Clinton's watch al Qaeda grew and metastisized into the cancer it now is. 9/11 was planned under his watch. There were attacks on embassies and naval vessels and all Clinton did was a little cigar play in the Oval Office. Why diddn't Clinton, Gore, etc., testify in public? What do they have to hide? The press coverage of the PDB kerfuffle has been sickening. The way they edit the videos is sickening. I could not believe the way they edited Condi's interrogation by Dems on the council. In particular, the back and forth with Benvineste? was edited so as to not show her full answer, the one where she says the PDB was a historical document that included no specifics. Look at some of the breathless headlines out there. I know I went to a little old public school in the Dirty, but I learned in J School to be fair and balanced. I guess they don't teach that at America's "elite" universities.

President Bush releases the much hyped PDB and it makes Clinton look bad. Note the dates.

The PDB is releasedand, I believe, it makes Clinton look bad. Note the dates.

President Bush releases the much talked-about PDB. And, if anything, it makes Clinton look bad. Note the dates.

what did Bill Clinton do against al Qaeda? Absolutely nothing.

This my be my first fisking.
Washington-AP -- Some states are being left behind in the competition for federal dollars for poor students.
Ok.

Most states and the District of Columbia will get more federal funding for poor students in the next school year. But eleven states in the midwest and northeast will lose some current funding.
Ok
That's because of new census data that shows some changes in where poor students live.
A-ha. Those evil GOPers. They're taking "our" money away because there are fewer students who need it.
In each state, some school districts will gain federal money to help disadvantaged kids, and some will lose.
Ridiculous! Imagine that! How dare they correlate the dollars with the actual amount of students!
Massachusetts will lose an estimated 26-point-five (m) million dollars.
Senator Edward Kennedy and other lawmakers plan to fight the changes, saying poor schools will suffer as demands on them grow.
Oh, the murderer is trying to shore up Kerry's teacher union turnout.

Another Memphis child dies.

Looks like the Huskies are going to pull it off.

Check out the FedEx Forum which, when completed, will be the finest arena in the country.

Get Grizzlies in-game updates, here.

Lawler never tapped out. HHH should never tap out.

The Democrat platform: victimization.

Barone says Kerry has and is, like many of the cheesy boomers, living under the specter of Vietnam. Didn't Kerry serve over there, or something?

The murderer from Mass. is at it again.

al Qaeda threatens more terror attacks in Spain. Boy, that gutless, cowardly election really showed the jihadists who the boss is.

The mentally ill/homeless problem is real. Read about ole "Nubs" from Memphis. I've spoken with him a number of times and always left feeling a little guilty. I don't know why. I just did.

I hope we lay down the law in the "insurgent" Iraqi towns. But remember, Islam is a religion of peace.

Condi's coming with the thunder.

I love John Daly but I bet Jeff Foxworthy could have a field day with this.

Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win!

Grizz didn't make it to 50 last night against the T'wolves. Hopefully, they'll do it tonight against the Jazz.

Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win!strong> What a great way to start a World Series Run.
